Introduction
General Description:
This product is a powder coating specially formulated and manufactured for medium-density fiberboard (MDF) substrates.
The coating film provides excellent mechanical properties and indoor decorative performance, making it widely suitable for surface finishing in the modern furniture industry.
This product is not recommended for direct use on outdoor applications.
Performance Features:
High application efficiency with excellent powder utilization during coating.
Environmentally friendly, with no wastewater, waste gas, or hazardous residue generated.
Lower overall cost compared with traditional liquid painting and membrane pressing processes.
Superior adaptability to complex shapes compared with membrane pressing, enabling large-scale industrial production.
Excellent physical and chemical properties of the cured coating film.
Strong potential for diversified surface effects, allowing continuous development of new finishes and appearances.
Product Series:
The product can be supplied in a wide range of colors, including metallic finishes, with sand texture or hammer texture effects, suitable for various interior furniture design requirements.
Application:
Can be made into a variety of colors and with a metallic flash effect of sand or hammer coating.
Low-temperature curing powder coatings are widely used in:
For MDF furniture and hardware finishes, such as commercial furniture, residential furniture, retail displays, office fitouts, kitchen and bath cabinets, etc.
Wood furniture industry (MDF, Medium Density Fiberboard)
Automotive components
Laboratory equipment
Carbon fiber substrates
Pipes, bottles, and containers
MDF Low-Temperature Curing Powder Coating:

Chemical Type:
Epoxy / Polyester hybrid or Pure Polyester
Appearance:
Smooth finish, sand texture, wrinkle texture, and other decorative/artistic patterns
Curing Conditions (Metal Part Temperature):
120 °C × 3 minutes
Improper curing may result in loss of color, gloss, and coating performance.
Gloss:
Depends on specific product grade
Storage Conditions:
Store in a sealed container in a cool, dry place at temperatures below 25 °C
Shelf Life:
6 months when stored below 25 °C

Application Process:
The coating can be applied using electrostatic spray equipment.
The recommended film thickness is 70–90 microns.
For MDF substrates, the panels must be preheated and temperature-equalized in advance, preferably using an infrared (IR) oven.
The preheating temperature should be determined according to the thermal mass and thickness of the MDF substrate, ensuring uniform surface temperature before powder application.

Application Process:
The coating can be applied using electrostatic spray equipment.
The recommended film thickness is 70–90 microns.
For MDF substrates, the panels must be preheated and temperature-equalized in advance, preferably using an infrared (IR) oven.
The preheating temperature should be determined according to the thermal mass and thickness of the MDF substrate, to ensure uniform heating before powder application.
Curing Conditions:
Curing Temperature:
130 °C (MDF board surface temperature)
Curing Time:
10 minutes
The coating can be cured in a conventional hot-air circulation oven or curing tunnel.
If conditions allow, it is recommended to first use an infrared oven to rapidly heat the freshly coated surface for quick melting and flow-out, and then transfer the panels to a conventional oven for final curing.
Average Coverage:
Approximately 8–9 m²/kg at a film thickness of 70 microns,
calculated based on 100% powder utilization efficiency.
Packaging:
Packed in cartons, with double-layer polyethylene inner liners.
Net weight: 20 kg per carton.
Storage Requirements:
Store in a clean, dry, well-ventilated indoor area at temperatures below 20 °C.
Keep away from fire sources, heaters, and direct sunlight.
Outdoor storage is strictly prohibited.
Under the above conditions, the powder coating can be stored stably for 6 months.
Products exceeding the storage period may be retested; if the results meet the requirements, the product may still be used.
