Description

Menadione is a pale-yellow, crystalline powder. It is practically insoluble in water, freely soluble in toluene, sparingly soluble in alcohol and in methanol. It is unstable in light.

Application

Vitamin K3 is a procoagulant that can be used to treat bleeding disorders caused by vitamin K deficiency, such as neonatal hemorrhage, vitamin K deficiency caused by intestinal malabsorption, and low prothrombinemia.
