Introduction
1. Product Overview
Valves are characterized by thick and uneven wall thickness, irregular shapes, rough surfaces, high thermal inertia with slow heat-up rates, and frequent collisions during handling and transportation. When conventional powder coatings are applied to valves, these characteristics often lead to various coating issues.
To address these challenges, our company has carefully selected specialized raw materials and conducted extensive testing to develop a dedicated Valve-Specific Powder Coating. In addition to providing the excellent decorative finish expected from conventional powder coatings, this product offers a range of enhanced performance characteristics specifically designed for valve applications.
2. Product Features
(1) Excellent adhesion, impact resistance, and scratch resistance. The coating remains intact without damage during normal handling and transportation of valves.
(2) Low-temperature curing capability. Recommended curing conditions are 160°C for 15–20 minutes or 180°C for 10 minutes. Compared with conventional powder coatings requiring 180°C for 15–20 minutes, this coating significantly improves production efficiency while reducing energy consumption.
(3) The high-gloss formulation provides excellent gloss, outstanding leveling, superior hiding power, and excellent edge coverage without sagging. A coating thickness of approximately 100 μm is sufficient to achieve excellent performance.
(4) Effectively eliminates bubble formation commonly encountered on cast iron valves.
(5) By optimizing the powder particle size distribution and incorporating advanced formulation materials, the coating significantly reduces the Faraday cage effect, resulting in improved powder penetration and higher transfer efficiency, even in recessed areas.
(6) Various gloss levels and textured finishes can be customized according to customer requirements.
