Introduction
Tunnel type ovens are designed for conveyorized paint shops according to plant layout and process requirements. The material suspended on the conveyor enters the oven from one side and exits from the same side, or makes a U-turn inside the oven and returns.
Tunnel type ovens are specially designed for each project, with a focus on energy efficiency. The oven dimensions and capacity vary depending on the size of the parts to be painted, the paint curing or drying time, and the project layout. They are used for wet paint drying, powder paint curing, and post-washing drying.
Optionally, the movement inside the oven can be continuous or step-controlled.
Step-controlled tunnel ovens:
These ovens are used in wet paint or powder coating plants, especially for large parts where the painting process takes longer. Parts that move step by step on the conveyor enter the step-controlled oven directly from the paint booth. The oven’s automatically operated doors open when the material enters and close afterwards. The steps inside the oven are calculated and designed according to the process time. With the first-in, first-out principle, the number of parts inside determines the total oven time. The entire system operates automatically.
