This product is white, odorless crystalline powder, insoluble in water, easy to hydrolyze in moisture to generate free phenol, soluble in alcohols, ethers, benzene and acetone and other organic solvents, ultraviolet absorption. It is mainly used as flame retardant plasticizer for engineering plastics and phenolic resin laminates; used as softener for synthetic rubber, raw material for manufacturing trimethyl phosphate, etc.; used as nitrocellulose and cellulose acetate, flame retardant plasticizer, fire-resistant solvent, nitrocellulose lacquer, synthetic resin, impregnating agent for roofing paper, and camphor substitute for celluloid manufacturing.
