Description

Trimethoprim Water Soluble 30% is white, off-white or light yellow powder, odorless and bitter. This product is soluble in water and slightly soluble in ethanol.

Application

This product is an antibacterial synergist, used alone for respiratory infections, urinary tract infections, intestinal infections and other diseases. As an antibacterial synergist, it can also treat poultry bacterial infections and coccidiosis. It can be mixed with basic antibacterial drugs such as sulfa drugs to make stable powders and finished products such as water needles, which can increase the antibacterial effect of sulfa drugs by several to dozens of times.

Mechanism of Action Trimethoprim is a reversible inhibitor of dihydrofolate reductase, an enzyme essential for bacterial nucleic acid and protein synthesis. It selectively targets bacterial enzymes, preventing bacterial growth.
