Mechanism of Action – Inhibits spore germination and appressorium formation of Pyricularia oryzae, the causative agent of rice blast disease.<br>- Acts as a pentaketide-derived melanin biosynthesis inhibitor.
Applications – Highly effective, systemic fungicide specifically used for controlling rice blast disease.<br>- Effective against strains of Pyricularia oryzae resistant to other fungicides.<br>- Also used as a protective fungicide, applied before disease onset.
Safety Information – Acute oral LD₅₀ in rats: 314 mg/kg.<br>- Acute dermal LD₅₀ in rabbits: >2000 mg/kg.<br>- Inhalation LC₅₀ in rats: >0.25 mg/L.<br>- Mild irritation to eyes and skin in rabbits.<br>- No mutagenic, teratogenic, or carcinogenic effects observed in animal studies.
