Mechanism of Action	Triclabendazole and its metabolites are absorbed by the outer body covering of immature and mature worms, causing a reduction in the resting membrane potential, inhibiting tubulin function, and disrupting protein and enzyme synthesis necessary for survival.<br> It also inhibits adenylyl cyclase, decreasing the intracellular level of cAMP, which activates stress-resistance transcription factors.
Therapeutic Uses	Antiparasitic: Used to treat fascioliasis caused by the liver fluke parasite Fasciola hepatica and Fasciola gigantica.
Pharmacokinetics	Absorption: Peak plasma concentrations are reached within 3–4 hours after oral administration with food.<br> Metabolism: Metabolized by CYP1A2, CYP2C9, CYP2C19, CYP2D6, CYP3A, and FMO.<br> Excretion: Primarily excreted in feces via the biliary tract.
Storage Conditions	Store in a sealed container at room temperature.
Safety Information	May prolong the cardiac QT interval; monitor ECG in patients with a history of QT prolongation
