Mechanism of Action	Tiamulin fumarate is a semisynthetic diterpene antibiotic derived from pleuromutilin. It binds to the ribosomal peptidyl transferase center, inhibiting protein synthesis in bacteria.
Therapeutic Uses	Veterinary Medicine: Used to treat swine dysentery caused by Brachyspira hyodysenteriae and swine pneumonia caused by Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae.<br> Poultry Medicine: Effective against Mycoplasma and Brachyspira-related diseases.
Formulations	Available as liquid concentrate for preparing medicated drinking water for swine.
Storage Conditions	Store in a cool, dry place, protected from light and moisture.
Safety Information	Contraindications: Do not use with polyether ionophores (e.g., monensin, lasalocid) to avoid adverse reactions.<br> Withdrawal Period: Withdraw medicated water 3 days before slaughter for swine treated at 3.5 mg/lb body weight, and 7 days for those treated at 10.5 mg/lb.
