Product Description

BIO-STD is a proprietary STD+ technology that contains STD, providing excellent contact, barrier, and vapor phase corrosion protection for ferrous and non-ferrous metals. It has a variety of available formulations with up to 40% bio-based content and can be designed into highly elastic, semi-rigid structures that suit the required characteristics. At the same time, it adopts a double-layer co-extrusion method. The outer layer is polyethylene, which prevents external moisture from entering, and the inner layer is a uniformly mixed layer of polyethylene and vapor phase corrosion inhibitor. When packaging metal workpieces, the film layer will automatically volatilize STD vapor phase anti-rust gas, which will vaporize and condense on all metal surfaces in a closed space, including hard-to-reach surfaces such as holes, holes and gaps, forming a vapor phase protective layer, thereby preventing metal workpieces from rusting.

As a degradable material, BIO-STD is placed in a typical composting environment and fully decomposes within 2-3 months. The exact time of film degradation depends on the conditions and activity of the treatment environment (temperature, soil quality, and activity of microorganisms). However, the ecological film is stable and will not decompose early in a non-composting environment. It complies with the German TM0208-2008 and TL-8135-002 corrosion protection standards. This product is waterproof and weldable, suitable for automated packaging and paper bag products.

Product Features

3. The workpieces protected by rust prevention can be unpacked and used immediately, eliminating the need for oiling, degreasing and cleaning. It saves labor and time, improves work efficiency, and saves costs;

4. It is transparent and beautiful, and the rust-proof objects are dynamically visible and easy to identify;

5. It has a wide range of applicability. It can be used for everything from a single part to a whole device;

6. Good printability, which helps to improve the image and grade of the rust-proofed items;

Protection range

Iron, carbon steel, brass, bronze, zinc and galvanized steel, nickel and nickel plating, tinplate, aluminum and aluminum alloys can be fully protected. Silver, lead or solder must be tested before use. Magnesium and magnesium alloys are not recommended.

How to use

1. The user or staff must wear gloves. It is strictly forbidden for the staff to directly touch the workpiece with their hands (gloves should be replaced in time after being dirty);

2. Before packaging the workpiece, it must be ensured that there is no rust and moisture residue. For products that are washed and dried in the early stage, they need to be packaged after cooling. The workpiece cannot have direct contact with any wood or acidic material;

3. It is best to use a closed packaging, which can effectively prevent moisture from corroding the workpiece and improve the anti-rust effect;

4. The color of the anti-rust film may change due to customer requirements, but this difference will not affect the anti-rust effect;

5. To achieve the best anti-rust effect, it is recommended to test whether the STD product is suitable for the workpiece to be packaged before use;

6. The anti-rust film continuously volatilizes a small amount of anti-rust substances to provide anti-rust protection for the metal surface in direct contact. The distance between the anti-rust film and the metal depends on the packaging volume and the time required for the final generation of the anti-rust protective layer. Generally, it is 10-30 cm.

Storage conditions

Unused or remaining anti-rust packaging materials after use should be kept in a sealed and cool dry place. The validity period can reach more than 2 years (printed anti-rust film is recommended to be used within half a year)

Disposal

BIO-STD is a degradable ecological film, which can be directly composted after use.
