Mechanism of Action	Salbutamol sulfate (also known as albuterol sulfate) is a selective β2-adrenergic receptor agonist. It acts by stimulating β2-adrenergic receptors in the lungs, leading to relaxation of bronchial smooth muscles and bronchodilation. It also inhibits the release of bronchoconstricting agents from mast cells and enhances mucociliary clearance.
Pharmacokinetics	Salbutamol is rapidly absorbed after inhalation and acts locally on the bronchial smooth muscles. It is metabolized in the liver to an inactive sulfate ester (salbutamol 4′-O-sulfate) and excreted primarily through urine. The elimination half-life is approximately 3.8 to 5 hours.
Storage Conditions	Salbutamol sulfate should be stored in a refrigerator at 2 to 8°C.
Special Considerations	Use with caution in patients with cardiovascular diseases, as salbutamol may cause cardiovascular effects such as tremors, hypokalemia, and arrhythmias. Overdose can lead to severe toxicity, including lactic acidosis and metabolic disturbances
