Introduction
Polyethylene (PE) powder coating is a thermoplastic powder applied by dip coating, fluidized-bed or rotomoulding. It gives a thick, tough, smooth film with good impact, corrosion and chemical resistance (acid/alkali/salt) and is solvent-free and non-toxic.

Practical note: PE is a thermoplastic — it melts and flows rather than crosslinking, so it is applied by preheating the part and dipping into a fluidized bed (or rotomoulding). It re-softens at high temperature and has lower scratch resistance than cured thermosets; HDPE is stiffer and harder, LDPE is softer and more flexible. For outdoor use choose a UV-stabilized grade, as plain PE chalks under sunlight.
