Polyhexamethylene Biguanide Hydrochloride (PHMB), with CAS No. 32289-58-0, is a broad-spectrum antimicrobial agent recognized for its safety and efficacy. As a cationic polymer, PHMB exhibits potent activity against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, fungi, and enveloped viruses by disrupting cell membranes through electrostatic interactions with negatively charged microbial surfaces.
