Storage Stability and Curing

Storage Stability

12 months when stored below 30°C. Re-test after expiry and use only if the product meets the applicable requirements.

Curing Conditions

200°C for 12 minutes or 180°C for 15 minutes, measured at the workpiece surface temperature.

Application Equipment

Manual or automatic spraying equipment may be used. Automatic spraying is recommended for improved coating consistency.

Pretreatment

Metal substrates should be thoroughly cleaned and degreased before coating. Zinc phosphating or iron phosphating may be used for ferrous metals, as appropriate. The original specification also lists chromate treatment for aluminum. Select a pretreatment process compatible with the substrate, corrosion protection requirements, and applicable environmental regulations.

Spraying and Powder Recovery

Parameter Recommendation
Spraying Equipment Manual or automatic; automatic spraying is recommended for coating consistency.
Powder Recovery Unsprayed powder may be recovered using a suitable recovery system, subject to powder condition and contamination control.
Atomizing Air Pressure Approximately 0.5 bar
Primary Air Pressure Approximately 0.6 bar

Coating Damage Repair

  1. Surface preparation: Grind the damaged area and remove dust using clean air.
  2. Recoating: Apply the coating again as required, reducing the spray voltage where appropriate for the repair process.

Safety Precautions

  • Do not eat, drink, or smoke during spraying operations.
  • Avoid inhaling powder dust and wear a suitable respiratory protective mask.
  • Consult the salesperson for the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for the specific product before use.
