Dry passivation VB108/Thermal passivation VB208
VB108 is a surface treatment agent for aluminum foil containing trivalent chromium, suitable for dry passivation.VB208 is a surface treatment agent for aluminum foil containing trivalent chromium, suitable for thermal passivation.Both agents offer excellent corrosion resistance, though they have different application processes. They can improve the electrolyte resistance of aluminum foil and enhance the bonding strength with adhesives. They are especially suitable for the passivation treatment of aluminum foil in li-ion battery soft-pack aluminum-plastic films.

VB Series Product Advantages
Can be used separately with dry heat process.
Does not contain hexavalent chromium (trivalent chromium type).
Can meet the electrolyte resistance of aluminum foil.
The corrosion resistance of the passivation layer is equivalent to that of hexavalent chromium.
Roller coating type passivation agent (no waste water is produced during the process).
Good coating leveling (no color difference).
Application Process
Coating method:
Roller coating is suggested.
Anilox roller with more than 280 mesh is preferred.
Coating dry weight:
Suggested 0.1~0.15 g/m².
Drying temperature:
Suggested drying temperature between 160-200℃.
Drying time no more than 30 seconds, depending on the passivation situation.
Dilution:
If dilution is needed, it is recommended to use ethanol.
The dilution ratio should be determined according to the wet volume of the coating anilox roll.
