Application

Leveling additives/EFKA 3239 is an organically modified polysiloxane, soluble in aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, esters and ketones but insoluble in water. It improves the general surface characteristics of solvent based and solvent free coatings. Efka® SL 3239 is particularly recommended for these coatings:

• baking enamels based on alkyd, acrylic or polyester resins

• acid-curable or polyurethane wood finishes particularly if applied by curtain coating

• self-leveling epoxy flooring compounds

• UV-curable paper lacquers

0.05 – 0.5% on total formulation
