Inositol nicotinate CAS No.:6556-11-2

Pharmaceutical Materials 2025-03-03

Inositol nicotinate, also known as nicotinic acid inositol ester or myo-inositol hexanicotinate, is a vasodilator and lipid-lowering agent with the molecular formula C₄₂H₃₀N₆O₁₂ and a molecular weight of 810.73 g/mol. It is widely used in pharmaceuticals to treat peripheral arterial disease (PAD) and hyperlipidemia by improving blood circulation and reducing cholesterol levels. The compound functions by releasing nicotinic acid gradually upon metabolism, thereby minimizing side effects such as flushing. Its vasodilatory properties make it effective in managing conditions like intermittent claudication and coronary artery disease. Inositol nicotinate is available as a white crystalline powder, with a melting point of 254–256 °C and solubility in dilute mineral acids. It is stable under proper storage conditions and is classified as an irritant .

Usage: Lipid-lowering drugs, have the effect of lowering cholesterol and dilating peripheral blood vessels. Biochemical Research.

Packaging and Shipping: 25KG/drum.

Storage:Stored in a dry and ventilated warehouse; keep away from sunshine; avoid fire; avoid moisture.
