Mechanism of Action – Imidocarb is a potent antiprotozoal agent that acts against parasites such as Babesia bovis (IC₅₀ = 87 μg/mL).
Clinical Uses – Veterinary Medicine: Used to treat infections caused by Babesia spp., Theileria spp., and Hepatozoon canis in animals.<br>- Administration: Given by subcutaneous or intramuscular injection.<br>- Dosage: In horses (3.4 mg/kg body weight), cattle (2.1 mg/kg body weight), and sheep (1.2 mg/kg body weight).
Storage Conditions – Powder: Store at -20°C for up to 3 years.<br>- In solvent: Store at -80°C for up to 6 months.
Solubility – Soluble in DMSO (39 mg/mL, 78.54 mM; sonication recommended).
