| uses | mainly used in organic synthesis this product is mainly used as dyes, pigments, surfactants and intermediates in pharmaceutical synthesis. Used as an intermediate in organic synthesis and biochemical reagent. |
| Production method | It is obtained by treating methyl n-hexyl ketone oxime with phosphorus pentachloride. Methyl n-hexyl ketone oxime is treated with phosphorus pentachloride in ether, then water is added to stir well and then stratified. The N-acetyl-n-ethylamine generated by rearrangement is dissolved in ether, and the ether layer is separated. Distillation recovers ether, the remaining oily liquid is hydrolyzed with a dilute solution of potassium hydroxide, and then distilled. Collect 130-133 ℃ fractions to obtain hexylamine. |
