Introduction

Heat resistant powder coating is designed for metal parts that run hot in service. Where standard powder discolours, blisters or peels under sustained heat, this grade holds its film, adhesion and corrosion protection from about 200°C up to 600°C, solvent-free and RoHS / REACH compliant.

Why Use a Heat-Resistant Grade

Stable to 600°CFilm remains intact at 200–600°C service without discolouring or flaking, depending on grade.Oxidation & Corrosion ProtectionWithstands oxidation and hot industrial atmospheres while retaining adhesion.

Solvent-FreeNo VOC emissions on the line; compliant with RoHS and REACH for global markets.Finishes & SubstratesGloss, matte and metallic effects on steel, aluminium and heat-resistant alloys.

Where It Is Used

Industry Example Products

Food processing Food ovens, dryers, sterilizers
Public infrastructure Street lamps, fences, road signs
Marine & offshore Ship exhausts, coastal metal structures

Technical Performance

Property Specification
Heat resistance 200°C – 600°C (by grade)
Salt spray ≥ 500 hours
Adhesion 5B (ASTM D3359)
Surface finishes Gloss / matte / metallic
Practical tip: The very high-temperature grades (above roughly 400°C) are typically silicone-based and are commonly supplied in black, grey or metallic shades; light colours and high gloss fade quickly under prolonged heat. Pretreatment and full cure at the stated temperature are essential, and parts should heat up gradually in service to limit thermal shock. Match the grade to the actual continuous and peak temperature, not the worst-case number.
