Practical note: hammertone texture is sensitive to film thickness and cure schedule — too thin and the hammer pattern disappears, too thick and it becomes coarse and uneven; gun distance, voltage and air pressure also change pattern size. Because the texture hides minor substrate imperfections, it is forgiving on cast or welded parts, but edges and sharp corners still need consistent coverage. Lock one recipe and film build for production, and remember that textured surfaces hold more dirt and are harder to wipe smooth than gloss — pick the texture intensity to match the cleaning routine.
