Description

Fosfomycin Calcium is white or almost white powder. It is slightly soluble in water, practically insoluble in acetone, in methanol and in methylene chloride.

Application

Fosfomycin calcium is an antibiotic used for simple lower urinary tract and intestinal infections caused by sensitive bacteria. It is mainly used to treat the following diseases:

1. Intestinal infection: bacterial enteritis, bacillary dysentery.

2. Urinary tract infection: cystitis, pyelonephritis, urethritis.

3. Dermatology and soft tissue infection: furuncle, anthrax, hidradenitis, lymphadenitis, folliculitis.
