Introduction

Food grade powder coating is a solvent-free, non-toxic finish formulated for direct or indirect food contact, meeting FDA 21 CFR 175.300 and EU food-contact expectations. It gives a safe, durable, hygienic and easy-to-clean surface for kitchen appliances, food processing equipment and public food facilities.

Suitable for household appliances, tableware, food processing machinery, toys, stationery and sports equipment that come into contact with food.

Practical note: food-contact claims depend on the full system — powder, pretreatment and cure — tested on the actual substrate and food-simulant conditions. Use the indoor hybrid type for interior appliances and tableware; choose the outdoor pure-polyester type for exterior food-service fixtures. Keep cure at object temperature (180/190°C × 15 min): under-cure raises migration risk and over-cure can yellow or embrittle the film. Request a food-contact declaration and migration test report for the specific grade before production.
