Introduction
We offers broad portfolio of epoxy resins. For Bisphenol-A (BPA)-based epoxy resins (BE-series), we have solid, liquid, and solvent types, all of which are suitable for coating and composite material. We also offer brominated novolac epoxy resins (BNE-series), phenol novlac epoxy resins (PNE-series), UV masking epoxy resins (TNE-series), and other speciality novolac epoxy resins, which are tailored for special needs (i.e. high heat resistance, low absorbent, low Df, NCO modified, etc.) Our cresol novolac epoxy resins (CNE-series) are designed for semiconductors/printing ink applications.

|---|---|
| Chemical Basis | Thermosetting polymers; reaction of epoxides (e.g., BPA-based) with hardeners (amines/anhydrides) |
| Key Applications | – Adhesives: Aerospace, automotive bonding – Coatings: Anti-corrosive marine paints – Composites: Wind turbine blades, carbon fiber parts – Electronics: Circuit encapsulation |
| Curing Mechanism | – Cross-linking: Formation of 3D networks – Temperature Range: Ambient to 200°C – Catalysts: Tertiary amines (e.g., DMP-30) |
| Properties | – Strength: High tensile modulus (~3GPa) – Chemical Resistance: Inert to acids/bases – Viscosity: Adjustable via diluents |
| Market Trends | – Global Consumption: ~4.5M tons/year (2025) – Growth Drivers: Electric vehicles, renewable energy – Bio-based Epoxies: From limonene/cardanol |
| Safety Concerns | – Allergens: Bisphenol A derivatives (skin sensitization) – Curing Byproducts: Volatile amines – Fire Risk: High flammability pre-cure |
| Environmental | – Recycling: Pyrolysis for monomer recovery – Bioaccumulation: Low log Kow (~2.5) – Carbon Footprint: Energy-intensive curing |
| Regulatory | – REACH: Restrictions on nonylphenol-based hardeners – RoHS: Compliance required for electronics – Eco-labels: Preferable for green building materials |
| Innovations | – UV-curable Epoxies: Faster processing – Nanoparticle Reinforcement: Graphene/CNT additives – Self-healing Systems: Capsule-based repair mechanisms |
Note: Critical engineering material with evolving sustainability demands. Advances focus on bio-content, recyclability, and process efficiency.
