Category:powder Coating | Brand:MT
Introduction
Epoxy Anti-Corrosion Powder Coating for Firefighting Steel Pipes is formulated with linear phenolic epoxy resin, polyurethane-modified epoxy resin, and specialized curing agents. It is designed for corrosion protection of steel pipes used in firefighting water supply systems.
The coating features high reactivity, strong adhesion, a high cross-link density, and resistance to chemicals, solvents, and cathodic disbondment. Its flexibility, impact resistance, and heat resistance make it suitable for pipe coating applications that require durable protection under demanding service conditions.

Product Features
Strong Adhesion
Designed to bond firmly to properly prepared steel substrates.
Corrosion Protection
Provides a protective barrier against corrosive environments.
Smooth Finish
Good leveling supports a dense, high-gloss coating surface.
Cathodic Disbondment Resistance
Designed to resist coating disbondment under specified test conditions.
Flexibility
Supports deformation resistance, including specified flattening and grooving tests.
Temperature Resistance
Designed for performance under specified high- and low-temperature conditions.
Boiling Water Resistance
Offers resistance to boiling-water exposure under applicable test conditions.

Compliance Standards
- GB/T 5135.20-2010 — Automatic Sprinkler Systems — Part 20: Coated Steel Pipes
- CJ/T 120-2008 — Technical Specification for Epoxy Resin Coated Steel Pipes
Application Fields
Anti-corrosion coating for the internal and external surfaces of steel water supply pipes used in firefighting systems.
Application Processes
Spraying
Suitable for compatible electrostatic or other specified powder spraying processes.
Dip Coating
Use only where the selected powder formulation and production process support this method.
Application Precautions
- Surface preparation: Ensure the steel pipe surface is free of oil and moisture. The specified surface cleanliness is Sa 2½ according to GB/T 8923. Remove dust and abrasive residues before coating.
- Surface profile: The supplied specification states an anchor profile depth of 50–90 mm. This unit appears inconsistent with typical coating surface-profile measurements and should be confirmed before publication or production use.
- Preheating: The stated preheating temperature is 180–240°C. The source also recommends preheating above 200°C to improve curing. Confirm the suitable pipe temperature and curing schedule for the selected powder grade.
- Storage environment: Store indoors in a dry, well-ventilated area below 30°C, away from heat sources, corrosive chemicals, chemical solvents, and strong light.
- Stacking and packaging: Do not stack more than four layers. Avoid prolonged compression and keep packaging sealed to prevent moisture absorption and caking that may affect powder fluidization.
