Introduction
Durable polyester powder coating — MT Autobody — is a TGIC-free polyester series engineered for automotive components. On suitably pre-treated substrates it delivers strong corrosion, humidity, chip, acid-spot and weathering resistance.

Pre-treatment
For optimum performance, pre-treat per the chemical supplier’s recommendations:
A. Aluminium: multi-stage chrome chromate or chrome phosphate.
B. Galvanised steel: multi-stage zinc phosphate or chromate.
C. Steel: grit blast to Sa 2.5 with a 20–40 µm profile, followed by multi-stage zinc or iron phosphate.
Application
Apply by manual or automatic electrostatic spray equipment. Unused or over-sprayed powder can be reclaimed and recycled through the coating system.
