Used in medicine to produce guanidine nitrate, sulfonamide drugs, etc. It can also be used to produce thiourea, guanidine, nitrocellulose stabilizers, rubber vulcanization accelerators, steel surface hardening agents, printing and dyeing chemical book fixing agents, artificial leather fillers and adhesives, etc. Electronic grade dicyandiamide has become the main development direction in the future, mainly used in the production of epoxy resin copper-clad laminates. Its excellent insulation performance is used as a curing agent in the impregnation process of copper-clad laminates and glass fabrics. Description It is in the form of white crystalline powder, soluble in water, alcohol, ethylene glycol, and dimethylformamide, almost insoluble in ether and benzene.
Not flammable. Stable when dry. Application The main uses of dicyandiamide include:
(1) as a raw material for guanidine salts and melamine diamines. Various guanidine salts can be produced by reacting dicyandiamide with acid. The phenyltrimeric cyanamide obtained from the reaction of dicyandiamide and phenylnitrile is an intermediate in coatings, laminates, and molding powders.
(2) Used as a dye fixing agent, the dicyandiamide resin produced by the reaction of dicyandiamide and formaldehyde can be used as a dye fixing agent.
(3) Dicyandiamide fertilizer and dicyandiamide compound fertilizer can control the activity of nitrifying bacteria, regulate the conversion rate of nitrogen fertilizer in soil, reduce nitrogen loss, and improve fertilizer utilization efficiency.
(4) As an intermediate in fine chemical industry. Used in medicine to produce guanidine nitrate, sulfonamide drugs, etc; It is also used to produce thiourea, nitrocellulose stabilizer, rubber vulcanization promoter, steel surface hardening agent, artificial leather filler, adhesive, etc.
