Dapagliflozin base CAS: 461432-26-8
Category:Pharmaceutical Materials
Introduction
Dapagliflozin is a white crystalline solid that is soluble in water and some organic solvents. It has a strong odor of rotten eggs. Dapagliflozin is unstable under high temperature and bright light.
Dapagliflozin is mainly used as a pesticide to control various pests, including insects, fungi, and weeds. It can act as an insecticide by blocking the nerve conduction system of pests. Dapagliflozin can also be used as a precursor for explosive substances, such as in the preparation of gunpowder.
The preparation method of dapagliflozin is mainly prepared by methylating nitrourea. Reacting nitroaniline urea with a methylation reagent (such as methine oxide) to obtain N-methylnitroaniline urea. Then, N-methylnitrourea is subjected to nitration reaction, and nitric acid and sulfuric acid are added to nitration it, resulting in the final dapagliflozin product.
-Dapagliflozin is a strong oxidant that should be avoided from contact with flammable materials.
-Maintain good ventilation during operation to avoid inhaling its gas or dust.
-Avoid contact and reaction with strong acids, strong bases, and other substances.
-Dapagliflozin may be toxic to aquatic organisms and should be avoided from being discharged into water sources.
-When using or handling dapagliflozin, appropriate personal protective equipment such as gloves, goggles, and face shields should be worn.
