It is the third generation of semi synthetic cephalosporins. It has strong bactericidal activity against Gram-negative bacteria. It has stronger antibacterial effect against Escherichia coli, influenza bacilli, pneumonia bacilli, Proteus mirabilis and Salmonella than cefoperazone.
Description
It is a white or slightly yellow powder. It is freely soluble in water, sparingly soluble in methanol.
Application
It is used for the infection of respiratory tract, urinary tract, bone and joint, skin and soft tissue, abdominal cavity, biliary tract, digestive tract, facial features, genitals and other parts caused by sensitive bacteria. It is also effective for the infection caused by burns and trauma, sepsis and central infection.
