Calcium Chloride is extremely hygroscopic and is easily deliquescent when exposed to air. Soluble in water, while releasing a lot of heat, its aqueous solution is slightly acidic. Soluble in alcohol, acetone, acetic acid.
Application
Used as a calcium enhancer, curing agent, chelating agent and desiccant in the food industry.
