4500-29-2 – Introduction

Dihydroxyethylcyclohexylamine; 2,2 ‘-(cyclohexylimino) diethanol, also known as dihydroxyethylcyclohexylamine, has the chemical formula C10H22N2O2. The following is a description of its nature, use, formulation and safety information:

Nature:
1. Dihydroxyethyl cyclohexylamine is a colorless to slightly yellow liquid.
2. It has a certain smell and is soluble in water and most organic solvents.
3. It is hydrophilic and has the characteristics of a surfactant.

Use:
1. Two Hydroxyethyl cyclohexylamine commonly used as amine antioxidants and preservatives.
2. It can also be used as a metal corrosion inhibitor and dye intermediate.

Method:
Dihydroxyethylcyclohexylamine; 2,2 ‘-(cyclohexylimino) diethanol can be prepared by the following steps:
1. Cyclohexylamine is condensed with ethylene glycol to produce cyclohexylamine ethylene glycol.
2. After that, cyclohexylamine ethylene glycol was hydroxyethylated by hydroxyethylation reaction to obtain the final product dihydroxyethylcyclohexylamine; 2,2 ‘-(cyclohexylimino) diethanol.

Safety Information:
1. Two Hydroxyethyl cyclohexylamine irritant, should avoid direct contact with the skin and eyes.
2. Use should wear personal protective equipment, such as gloves and goggles.
3. Store in a small container and place it in a well-ventilated and dry place.
4. Avoid contact with strong oxidants and corrosives.
5. In case of accidental poisoning or discomfort, seek medical help immediately.
