Anti-Microbial Powder:

Most moutainchem powder paint coatings can be formulated with anti-microbial capabilities. These coatings use silver ions to inhibit the growth of mildew and spoilage-causing microbes on the powder coating.

What’s more, as silver is a naturally occurring element, the silver ions used are environmentally responsible and have been shown to offer protection against microbes that cause odor, mildew, and spoilage on the product without high toxicity to humans and animals.

The above tests all use 0.8mm degreased and derusted cold-rolled steel plates, with a coating thickness of 40 to 80um. The performance indicators of the coating will vary slightly with the gloss.

Antimicrobial: How it Works:

The term antimicrobial refers to a substance that inhibits the growth of microorganisms to protect the coated surface. Antimicrobial powder coatings incorporate advanced silver ion technology which is proven to reduce the growth of harmful bacteria on the surface of the coatings. The silver ion technology in antimicrobial powder coatings reduces bacterial growth, providing permanent protection for the lifetime of the product. The coating does not replace the cleaning of the surface. The antimicrobial silver active is added into powder coatings during manufacture, making it a permanent feature. Silver ion technology is incredibly durable and long lasting, as long as the coating is there, the active silver will still be there. Persistence tests have shown that the antimicrobial activity of powder coatings does not decay with time. Sherwin-Williams can confirm with a special instrument the presence of the silver additive in the surface applied with antimicrobial powder coatings.

This product does not contain heavy metals such as arsenic, selenium, lead, hexavalent chromium, mercury, antimony, cadmium, etc., and meets RoHS requirements.
Storage conditions: Store in a dry and ventilated room at around 25°C, avoid direct sunlight. Under this condition, the powder can be stored for 6-12 months. If it exceeds the period, it can be re-inspected and can still be used if the results meet the requirements.
