Formulations	Available as oral capsules and topical gels (0.1% concentration).
Dosage	For CHE, the usual oral dose is 10-40 mg once daily for up to 24 weeks. For KS, topical gel is applied 2-4 times daily.
Side Effects	Common side effects include headache, dry skin, rash, and hyperlipidemia (oral form); local reactions like erythema and pruritus (topical form).
Contraindications	Pregnancy, lactation, hypersensitivity to alitretinoin, and concurrent use of tetracyclines.
Special Precautions	Women of childbearing potential must use reliable contraception during and for one month after treatment. Avoid sun exposure for topical formulations.
Drug Interactions	Potential interactions with CYP3A4 inhibitors (e.g., ketoconazole) and statins (e.g., simvastatin). Avoid concurrent use with vitamin A supplements.
