2-Picoline, also known as α-methylpyridine or 2-methylpyridine, is a key intermediate in organic synthesis with the molecular formula C₆H₇N and a molecular weight of 93.13 g/mol. It is widely used in pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, and rubber processing for producing intermediates such as pyridine derivatives, herbicides, and rubber accelerators.
