use | 1,2-diphenoxyethane (DPE) has attracted much attention as a new type of heat-sensitive material sensitizer and a potential polyolefin catalyst additive. |
Synthesis method | Only a few documents have reported the synthesis of 1, 2-diphenoxy ethane, mainly through phenol and 1, 2-dichloroethane or ethylene glycol sulfonate in alkaline water or ethanol medium. The reaction is prepared as the starting material. The yield is reported to be as high as 80%, but the product contains more impurities, the synthesized crude product needs to be purified by high temperature distillation (collection temperature is about 200 ℃, vacuum degree is below 700Pa). This process consumes a lot of energy, and due to the high freezing point of the product, it is easy to block the pipeline, which puts forward high requirements on the equipment. There are also reports of synthesizing 1,2-diphenoxy ethane with 1,2-dibromoethane and phenol as raw materials and ethanol as solvent, but the yield is only 30%. In the reaction, 1,2-dibromoethane is easy to undergo side reactions to convert into bromoethylene, resulting in low yield. |
