Product name:
Vitamin H (Biotin)
D-Biotin, also called Vitamin H, is a colorless, water-soluble member of the group of B-vitamins. Formerly it was known as vitamin H or coenzyme R. It has many benefits for the hair, skin, and nails.
Description
It occurs as a white or off-white crystalline powder. It is stable to air and heat. One gram dissolves in about 5000 mL of water at 25° and in about 1300 mL of alcohol; it is more soluble in hot water and in dilute alkali, and it is insoluble in other common organic solvents.
Applications
It is a kind of water-soluble vitamin (B7), also called vitamin H, which is widely distributed in all animals and plants at low concentration. The bacteria in human intestine can also synthesize biotin in large quantities and is distribute it in all tissues of the body, with the highest content in liver and kidney.
It is an essential coenzyme in the metabolism of carbohydrate, fat and protein.
It is indispensable for maintaining the normal growth and development of humans, maintaining the health of the skin and bone marrow, and is also important for maintaining the hair and mucous membranes. Lack of biotin in the body may cause dermatitis, atrophic glossitis, hyperesthesia, myalgia, fatigue, anorexia, and mild anemia.
The efficacy of biotin:
1) Involved in the metabolism of fatty acids and carbohydrates in the body, it is a coenzyme of a variety of enzymes.
2) Promote protein synthesis, urea synthesis and excretion.
3) Improve the regulation of blood sugar, which is conducive to the health and regeneration of cells.
