Ceftriaxone sodium is the third generation cephalosporin antibiotics. It has strong effects on Escherichia coli, pneumonia, indole positive Proteus, influenza bacilli, Serratia, meningococci and Neisseria gonorrhoeae; Pneumococcus, Streptococcus and Staphylococcus aureus are moderately sensitive to this product; Enterococcus, methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus and most vulnerable Bacteroides are resistant to this product.
Description
It is white or yellowish crystalline powder. Slightly soluble in water, insoluble in ethanol, chloroform and ether.
Application
It is used for pneumonia, bronchitis, peritonitis, pleurisy caused by sensitive bacteria, as well as infection of skin and soft tissue, urinary tract, biliary tract, bone and joint, facial features, wound and other parts. It is also used for sepsis and meningitis. Simplex gonorrhea
