Tylosin Tartrate CAS 1405-54-5
Category:Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients
Introduction
Molecular Formula: C49H81NO23
Molecular Weight: 1052.16
CAS No.: 1405-54-5
It is a special antibiotic for macrolide animals. Its mechanism of action mainly plays a sterilization role by hindering the synthesis of bacterial protein. It is very easy to be absorbed in the body, excretes rapidly, has no residue in the tissue, and has special effects on Gram-positive bacteria and mycoplasma. In particular, it has very high activity against Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, and is the first choice for the treatment of chronic respiratory diseases of livestock and poultry caused by Mycoplasma.
Description
It is white or yellowish powder. It is slightly soluble in water and can be made into water-soluble salt with acid. The saline solution is stable in weak alkali and weak acid solutions.
Application
It is effective against Gram-positive bacteria and some negative bacteria, but its effect is weak and strong against Mycoplasma. Tylosin tartrate is one of the macrolides with strong effect against Mycoplasma. It is easy to develop drug resistance to tylosin sensitive bacteria and mycoplasma, and cross resistant to erythromycin and other antibiotics.
