Mechanism of Action	Prednisolone is a potent synthetic glucocorticoid that exerts its effects by binding to cytoplasmic glucocorticoid receptors. The receptor complex then translocates to the nucleus, binding to glucocorticoid response elements (GREs) on DNA. This binding can either promote the expression of anti-inflammatory proteins or inhibit the transcription of inflammatory genes.
Pharmacokinetics	Prednisolone is rapidly absorbed after oral administration, with peak plasma concentrations reached within 1 to 2 hours. It exhibits non-linear protein binding, primarily to transcortin and albumin. At higher doses, protein binding decreases, leading to increased free drug levels and clearance. The half-life is approximately 2 to 3 hours.
Storage Conditions	Prednisolone should be stored at room temperature, between 8°C and 24°C (46°F and 75°F), and protected from light.
Special Considerations	Use with caution in patients with diabetes, hypertension, or osteoporosis, as glucocorticoids can exacerbate these conditions. Long-term use may require monitoring of blood glucose, blood pressure, and bone density
